Fragility Of An Unbroken Glass gives a sheer insight into the abyss of pain. This undiluted form of artistry allows, not only allows the readers to glimpse the poet's thoughts, but also leaves a stamp of reminiscence on their thoughts.
FRAGILITY OF AN UNBROKEN GLASS
It’s night again, and darkness looms more
in my head than ever before. My heart
is filled with aching reminiscences
that deserve to be written, yet my hands
are too broken to write a poem of hope.
I pick up a pen and watch it dance in pain
like a feverish bird. My eyes are held captive
by the stainless steel screen of my laptop.
This night is getting to its maturity,
and my heart is becoming a grove of pains
that need wee[d]ding and watering.
The thought of losing becomes a tsunami, and
the reality of young being caged by birds rotates
every organ in my body. My heart is composed
of flesh, yet it is becoming too fragile to hold itself.
I feel it breaking, collapsing, dissolving, and freezing
into thin ice surrounded by unfavourable weather.
I can’t think of anything that knows how to smile, anything
that learns the rules of taking a heart.
I cry. I fall. I break. I collapse.
I want to call on my Lord for aid, yet
I can’t think of words anymore.
The night is still deepening its dimness, and
I watch it turn into a shade of flames.
This heat is what causes my heart [the thin ice] to evaporate
into the sky and become suspended smoke,
floating in the sky but never to dwell in my body again—
gone for a gone ghost
