Tales By Moonlight is a novella writing competition. The theme of this contest is fiction and magic. Release your imagination and let your creative juices run free!
Rules
- The grand prize is $1000 cash.
- Submissions will be accepted until the end of the competition. The competition will end on September 15th.
- All stories submitted for the competition must be in the genre of fantasy. Stories must be written in the theme of Magic.
- Submissions must have approximately 15,000 - 20,000 word length and be separated into chapters of reasonable length.
- Entries can be submitted through Ankara Editor, our writing platform.
- The winner will be determined by audience voting. The submission with the most votes at the end of the contest period will win the grand prize.
- Plagiarized work will not be accepted.

What is a novella?
A novella is a work of prose whose length is shorter than most novels but longer than most short stories.
How does voting work?
The voting polls will open August 15th. Approved entries will be hosted on the competition site and available for public voting. We encourage contestants to promote their submissions and increase their chances of winning the cash prize.
How many chapters should I write?
Chapter lengths should be 3,000 - 5,000 words. Submissions should be between 4-7 chapters long.
Can I submit a story that I've pubilished elsewhere or submitted at other competitions?
As long as the story is your original work and adheres to the competition rules and writing theme, it can be submitted.
