The kendeka Prize For African Literature's anthology was recently launched with the submission window for the 2022 Kendeka Prize announced open.
The Anthology For The 2021 Kendeka Prize For African Literature Got Launched
On 5th March 2022, Kendeka Prize for African Literature launched the anthology, titled I Am Listening. The event was held at Fourteen Falls Leisure Lodge Thika Kenya and was guested by the following literary honorary personells, Prof. Kamau Goro of Laikipia University in Kenya and Ken Wa Kuraya of Inooro TV, Kenya. Present in the event was Andrew Maina, Founder of the Kendeka Prize for African Literature
Following the reception of various submissions from writers for the 2021 literary prize, some of the submitted works were selected for the anthology. The anthology is made up of the 12 long listed stories in the Kendeka Prize 2021.
"I Am Listening" was edited by Regina Aside and compiled by Andrew Maina and Muthoni wa Gichuru.
During the launching event James Murua, the Chairman of Kendeka Prize, announced the call out for submissions of the Kendeka Prize 2022. Submissions will close on May 5, 2022. Click here to check the guidelines for submission.
