Since the establishment of the poetry contest 15 years ago, the Creative Writing Award has provided a platform for poets and authors across the globe to showcase their work through publication, prize money and exposure.

How To Enter The Poetry Contest 2021: Creative writing award

Aesthetica Magazine invites writers to enter the Creative Writing Award by following the prescribed guidelines for submission. We implore you to follow them while submitting for the contests on each section.

Entry Fee For The Creative Writing Award Contest: Poetry £12 | Short Fiction £18

Deadline For the Writing Contest 2021 :Entries open until 31 August 2021. Submissions are organised through our Submittable Platform.

£5,000 prize money in total for both section. That is, Poetry and Fiction.

Guidelines For The Writing Contest 2021

It's quite advisable for writers and poets to adhere strictly to the submission guidelines laid down for the writing contest 2021 edition .

• Poetry entries should be no more than 40 lines.
• Fiction entries should be no more than 2,000 words.
• Works published or entered elsewhere are accepted.
• We accept works on any theme.
• You may enter the Award as many times as you wish, although each work requires a fee and new submission form.

Timescale For The Contest

1. January 2020 – 31 August 2021: Entries open
2. September 2021: Judging begins
3. November 2021: Shortlisted writers are contacted and book proofs sent
4. December 2021: Winners and are announced
5. December 2021: Publication of winners and shortlist in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual 2022
