The Adriatic Magazine has called out to sci-fi writers to submit their works for its upcoming issue 5.
They welcome submissions from all poets. Irrespective of whether you’ve been published a hundred times, or never been published before. They desire to hear from everyone!
All submissions to the magazine will be considered equally and anonymously.
Deadline:
The deadline for submissions is at 12pm (noon, GMT) on the 22nd of August 2021.
Any poems submitted to the Adriatic Magazine after this will not be considered.
Rules And Submission Guidelines For The Adriatic Magazine | Issue 5
Free entry. All submissions to the magazine are free.
All poems must be relevant to the issue's theme, 'Sci-Fi'.
Poets can be based anywhere in the world. There are no geographical restrictions or limitations whatsoever.
Only send unpublished work (self-published is fine!)
They will not accept simultaneous submissions, i.e. work that has been submitted to other publications for consideration.
They will not consider multiple submissions by a single poet to the same issue.
Poems can be written in any language, but an English translation must be provided alongside the original poem.
You will maintain ownership of your poetry, regardless of whether it is chosen for their magazine or not.
By submitting your work to the Adriatic Magazine, you agree that if they choose your work for an issue, they will retain archival rights in order to keep your work on their website and other social media platforms indefinitely.
To submit to the magazine:
Send one file (Word Document only) to theadriaticmag@gmail.com, with the subject 'Submission Issue Five'.
Send a maximum of three poems.
No more than three pages per poem.
Send a clear headshot as a separate attachment, preferably as a JPEG.
Type your poems in the 'Garamond' font, size 14.
On the final page of your document, you must include:
Your name,
Your pronouns
A short biography (75 words max)Your email address
Any social media handles
Do not include your name on any other page (unless it appears in a poem), as we judge all submissions anonymously.
If you have any questions about the submission process, email them at
theadriaticmag@gmail.com, and they'll get back to you as soon as they can!
However, note that their team may suggest edits to your poem before they publish it- this process is entirely collaborative, and they intend to take great care to ensure that poets are happy with any and all changes.
