Diabolical Plots Magazine announces its submissions window open to submit their works to them for August 1-14, 2021.
According to the magazine:
We also plan to have our first-ever themed submission window in October 2021, for the theme “Diabolical Pots”, food themed speculative fiction stories.
Submission Guidelines For Diabolical Plots Magazine
The only genre available for Submission is fiction.
Interested writers are advised to read the guidelines carefully before submission.
FICTION
For those who might not be able to access their submission form, send them a message via their contact form or editor email editor@diabolicalplots.com
Genres: science fiction, fantasy, horror (everything must have a speculative element, even horror).
Word count: 3500 words or less. This is a firm limit. A work that exceeds the limit will be rejected.
Payment rate for accepted work: 10 cents per word
Diabolical Plots Magazine does not accept multiple submissions.
They accept simultaneous submissions on the condition that once the submitted work is accepted somewhere else, you are inform them to withdraw it.
Reprint submissions: No. That means you should not submit anything that has been published in any format, blog, e-zine, print, podcast, anything. Sharing stories with other authors in login-protected critique sites like Codex or Critters is fine.
Resubmitted works will be rejected.
Estimated Resolution Time: 30 days after end of submission window. If you have not received a response by then, feel free to follow the instructions for querying in the section below. They will send initial responses to stories as we read them, which will either be hold notices or rejections. Hold notices will be kept until after the slush window to winnow down to the final selection.
