Idris Elba Set To Publish A Series Of Children's Books

The British actor, Idris Elba discloses that he is set to release a series of children’s books. The actor, who is also a musician and DJ, signed multiple book deals with British publishing house HarperCollins.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor’s book deal with the publishing house includes both picture books and fiction that he has developed over the years with his writing partner Robyn Charteris who is reputable for writing children's books over the years.

Commenting on the acquisition, Idris Elba expressed,

"I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring stories inspired by my daughter to life with my incredible partner Robyn Charteris, and the powerhouse team at HarperCollins," 

In the major UK/US co-publication deal, world rights were acquired by Ann-Janine Murtagh, Executive Publisher, HCCB UK, and Suzanne Murphy, President and Publisher, HCCB US, from Crystal Mahey-Morgan at OWN IT! Entertainment Ltd.

Murtagh praises further Charteris, the co- writer for having "a fantastic track record in writing for children," and for "working with some of the biggest producers of children's entertainment."
