DETACHED, a poem of romance and love. It tells the story of adventurous lovers who had to break away due to some challenges.
DETACHED
We heard the sun growl as the summer announced its coming
When the winter crawled back into hibernation
As we watch the daisies sprout and and the buds bloom.
We held each other's hands and wished the days remember the glory we sought
Before our hearts entwined and our shades dispersed.
We heeded to the calls of the beaming moon at night
To watch the wonders on the sheet of the sky
Till day breaks, to remind us that none ever wins.
For as the night reigns for a millennium of seconds
The day will always conquer because all that beams, fade.
We heard the message but we never cared.
We beseeched bruises but scars came forth
Whispering into our ears,
Of the nights wounds broadened and the voices couldn't bulge.
We shrugged off and crooned the tales of the Phoenix to its ears,
"We never die, our ashes never fail to add flesh anew"
For mystery is our love for those who watched
And a knowledge for those who sought!"
We spent days and the path made a oath with our skins,
We laughed with weeping lips and dispersion crawled to our limbs,
We shared our skins and the scars never healed,
For tomorrow brought flowers on today's grave
And our strength failed us as they have prophesied.
We were naïve to their words, blinded
And fell deep down too much for love to have us in her grasp.
Monday came with the summer arriving with shades,
The buds withered and the moon came along with sun
To remind us of the words we spat and our feet thumped.
Scars came afterwards and our plead couldn't make it heal
We watched and our guilt mocked us into shame
We crawled out as the sun sets and our hearts were too ripped to entwine
We thought we'll always fall out of Monday like we always did
But we were caught in its web— forever detached.
